Subdeacon Joe
The Sea Skimmer, a strange U-boat-hunting seaplane from WWII. It was designed by an Austrian arms dealer as a highly maneuverable platform to chase down and circle U-boats, which it could attack with the depth charges seen on the landing floats. It had small stubs for wings so it couldn't leave the ground effect. Armament was a 20 mm Oerlikon cannon and a machine gun. Britain was not interested. Abilene Slim SASS 81783
That would be cool to have down at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Lots of crazy boaters there.
Cypress Sun
That doesn't hardly look safe sitting idle in a lake, let alone the English Channel or open ocean. I can see why Britain passed on it.
