Subdeacon Joe
Came across some interesting photos on FB. And, captioned: "Marshal Tamo, near Bonners Ferry, Idaho - Nez Perce 1905?" What are those firearms?
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770
The pistol in his left hand looks like Borchardt. 2
Alpo
Thank you. I was having a brain fade. I knew it was the gun with the toggle action that Luger turned into his pistol. And I could not for the life of me remember what it was called.
Alpo
As for the (I wonder why otto erased the word RIFLE?), it appears to have a rounded receiver top, which makes me think it is a Winchester. Marlin has a flatter top. And the length of the receiver says to me it is probably an 1886. It does not look like a Henry design, which lets out the 73 and 76. It looks like a Browning receiver. The receiver looks too long to be a 92. Edited March 25 by Alpo
