Howdy Rooster,

A labor of love. Great work. If their bores came out ok, I bet they will be fun to shoot. Give us a shooting report and who made them when you can, please. I betting that they will shoot high with the standard sights. Good luck.

Rev. Chase

Bores come out good .

They are Pietta's  .

Both 1995 built guns .

Had to do a little fitting to make the six shot Cartridge cylinders fit the frames.

And a couple new paws to get the timing corrected.

But everything turned out good .

Howdy Rooster,

You are in luck. I have a Pietta with the same conversion cylinders as yours. It is a very accurate pistol. Bought it used with a higher front sight hence the guess that it may shoot a bit low.

Rev. Chase

Thank you .

I'm really a Colt guy .

But with all the Colts I have .

I wanted to try something different but not buy some new guns with Zero history to them .

So I found some ratty ass Remington's nobody wanted .

And decided to bring them back to life .

I loved the process and the reward was worth the effort.

Howdy Rooster,

I know what you mean. I, too, am really a Colt guy but for some reason I periodically show up with Scofields  and /or the Rem.conversion. Surprisingly, for me, the difference in grip shapes doesn't seem to affect my shooting. Then again, they usually time my stages with a sun dial.
