Rooster Ron Wayne
I picked up a pair of (Circa 1995) Remington New Model Army 44's that have been road hard and put away dirty & dry . With a Little Cap Gun Love , Some Filing & Fitting . Some Cleaning & Soothing. Added a Few Springs & Two Cartridge Cilinders . I Breathed some Life Back into these Old Girls . Giving them a Chance to Keep Telling a story .
Reverend P. Babcock Chase
Howdy Rooster, A labor of love. Great work. If their bores came out ok, I bet they will be fun to shoot. Give us a shooting report and who made them when you can, please. I betting that they will shoot high with the standard sights. Good luck. Rev. Rev. Chase Bores come out good . They are Pietta's . Both 1995 built guns . Had to do a little fitting to make the six shot Cartridge cylinders fit the frames. And a couple new paws to get the timing corrected. But everything turned out good . Rooster

Reverend P. Babcock Chase
Howdy Rooster, You are in luck. I have a Pietta with the same conversion cylinders as yours. It is a very accurate pistol. Bought it used with a higher front sight hence the guess that it may shoot a bit low. Rev. Chase

I'm really a Colt guy . But with all the Colts I have . I wanted to try something different but not buy some new guns with Zero history to them . So I found some ratty ass Remington's nobody wanted . And decided to bring them back to life . I loved the process and the reward was worth the effort. Rooster
Reverend P. Babcock Chase
Howdy Rooster, I know what you mean. I, too, am really a Colt guy but for some reason I periodically show up with Scofields and /or the Rem.conversion. Surprisingly, for me, the difference in grip shapes doesn't seem to affect my shooting. Then again, they usually time my stages with a sun dial. Rev. Rooster Ron Wayne
Me too Me and my shooting buddy are always in a battle for last place on the overall list . Choose you category wisely lol I have placed 34 or 35 on the overall sheet and 1st or 2nd in my category. It's all about playing your game your way and having fun safely. I own and run a 24/7 Emergency repair business. I'm not going out and practicing all the time, And turning my hobby into a full-time job . it's my hobby Not a second job . We go play cowboy for the day and shoot guns Rereĺive our childhood cowboy fantasies. We go have a beer and a burger some place and tell whole lies and half-truths about the big gun fight you was in today. Go home and clean guns and forget about how F#x%ed up America has become ever sence the Scamdemic in 2020 . Back to reality on Monday. Lube you Balls & Cap your Nipples, The fun is about to begin. Reverend P. Babcock Chase
Howdy Rooster, I know what you mean. I score well down on the results list, but wisely choosing to shoot "Jurassic Cowboy" I do pretty well. In fact, I remain undefeated when unopposed. Practice is a concept I have rarely employ as I don't want to be considered a "gamer". Rev. Chase
