Sam Sackett
I am looking to change, hopefully upgrade, the sights on my Rossi 92 in 45 Colt. The original has a very fine slot that aligns with the blade front sight. I am thinking of installing a bead on a post front sight and a bullseye dovetail rear right (barrel mount). From my understanding of the rule book, it would be allowed. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1828132532 What does the gallery say? Or is there a better recommendation? Thanks, Sam Sackett
Horace Patootie, SASS #35798
I'm thinking that rear sight would not be allowed. It's the bullseye sight and considered a peep sight. Maybe someone has some other info about it. Horace
Sam Sackett
What I saw was a restriction on receiver or bolt mounted sights, not on barrel mounted sights. Maybe I wasn’t looking in the right section or missed something. So that’s my confusion ….. Sam Sackett
Horace Patootie, SASS #35798
I was referring to page 30 of Captain Baylor's book. That is what the book says. Also, any other sight with the white diamond; the diamond must be blacked out. Horace
PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L
That sight has been specifically ruled as ILLEGAL. The only "peep" sights allowed for main match use are: Quote Rifle Sights - Tang mounted rear sights may utilize changeable “peep” apertures and eyecups. SHB p.34 REF also: SECTION 6 – FIREARM COVENANTS - SHB p.32
