willie GOODNEWS Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 What I have here is a beautiful model 73 Winchester competition high grade carbine in 357/38 spl Bought this a year ago and sent it to Cowboy Carty. Carty told me that because it is short stroked from the factory he couldn’t do his cut and weld on it but he replaced the firing pin and springs and smother it all out The saddle ring is removed and the lever catch. The wood is outstanding and this little rifle runs smooth and fast with 38 specials $1899 + shipping from my ffl to yours first I’ll take it These first 3 pictures have peep sight and lever wrap they were taken outside to show off the wood I will add more pictures soon The only reason for selling is I bought a 73 miroku one of one thousand and sent it to Carty ( it has the same factory short stroke)
Turkey Flats Jack Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 This is a beautiful and smooth as silk rifle, I've held it and ran the action. Willie is an outstanding person to do business with. Do not hesitate to work with him!
Deuce Stevens SASS#55996 Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 What a gorgeous rifle. Knowing Carty’s work extremely well I’ll expound a bit on what he did. Correct the action for proper timing which involves a full tuning of the carrier and extractor. Full trigger job and tuning of lever safety. New one piece tool steel firing extension. Carrier lightened. And all action springs tuned and timed. His work is meticulous to say the least and nothing leaves his shop incapable of sub 2 second runs. This is a hot rifle.
