Grass Range
I recently bought a pair of spurs. Someone who had wide feet had stretched them so they are shaped like a V and they should be shaped like a. Out comes the hammer and anvil.
Ornery Cuss, SASS # 76071
I always wore spurs because, to me, one of the primary characteristics of the cowboy is the look and sound of the spurs. And if you're "playing cowboy", instead of robotically going through the motions of a shooting competition, that's important. If can't hear them, it doesn't count! I don't have a spur shelf; I simply run a thin wire from one spur button under my heel and pull it tight and wrap it around the opposite button. The spurs don't slip down over my heel. BTW, the 'flashier' the spurs the better. Go for it; you're playing a game....have fun.
