Abilene, SASS # 27489
Howdy Pokey, it is an Uberti. Cimarron, Taylors, Dixie, and Stoeger all import the Ubertis and they are all the same on the inside. Some models are specific to certain importers. edit: I guess I should answer your question. Yes, they are all good ! Ubertis are pretty stiff out of the box and benefit greatly from lightening the springs by any of several different methods. Shooting Bull
Cimarron is an importer. The actual manufacturer is Uberti. My '73s are better than I am. They're one of the most popular rifles in SASS for a reason.
Chickamauga Slim
I bought a Taylor Tuned Uberti Comanchero. Nothing left to do to it out of the box. Best gun money I have spent yet. I don't know if Cimarron offers a factory tuned rifle, but their Pietta revolvers are smooth as silk out of the box too. I wouldn't be afraid of ordering from Cimarron or Taylors.
