Charlie Plasters, SASS#60943
For as long as I can remember our family has bastardized the saying "and the plot thickens" to "and the soup thickens" - has anyone else heard this done? is it possibly from some old movie or did my great grandmother just make it up? Pat Riot
I have heard the line "and the plot thickens" for years but have no idea where it comes from.

Cat Brules
Yeah, I've heard it over the years, mostly as a bit of sarcasm stated while watching a particularly bad movie with a predictable plot line, or when a news story picks up a new twist.
