WTS Cimmarion 1878 12 ga hammered double price drop

Recommended Posts

This is a Cimarron that I bought as a used gun that I'm not sure has ever been fired. I know I never shot it. It hasn't even been on the gun cart. I'm asking $550 shipped.

Thanks for looking!

Hey Pvozzo

It's marked Cimarron, same gun as my TTN but has sling swivel studs. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

I am looking for one marked TTN. I know that the older Cimarrons were made by TTN, but not sure about the newer ones - any clarification you could give me would be appreciated as I am researching this and finding little info on the internet to help me with my decision. Respectfuliy - pete

Ok My TTN is marked "TTN INTL 1878 - JCM P.R.C. *LH CA

The Cimarron is marked

Cimarron F.A. Co. Model 1878 12 gauge 3inch

-Polytech. PRC* CFA Fredricksburg . Texas

Side by side I can't tell the difference other then the Cimarron is built to tighter tolerances then the TTN.

My intention was not to confuse or miss lead so I'll change the post to reflect the markings on the gun.

Thanks

Ten High

The original man that sold the TTN was Walt Johnson and he sold the gun through different outlets. He was at EMF for a while but as far as I know, all the guns have always been made by JCM, PRC. THE PRC stands for Peoples Republic China. I purchased m ine from Walt Johnson himself and it is stamped Cimarron Repeating Arms, Fredericksburg Texas USA then on the second line it reads

Model1878- JCM,PRC , Manufactured By JCM,PRC. Take care Fairshake

Thank you sir, I have one marked Cimarron and Polytech - and mine is also a solid gun. I did not know they were made in China. From what I have learned (and this is not from a definitive expert), the TTN, the Cimarron TTN, and the Comarron Polytech are all from the same source. Ten years ago, one could buy a TTN, then they became the supplier to the distributor Cimarron, then they (TTN) changed their name to Polytech but still remain the manufacturer and supplier to distributor, Cimarron.
