Hoss Shoer
Anybody using 1860 Army conversion pistols? I have a chance to get a pair and I've always liked these guns, so I was wondering how they held up in CAS. Are they hard to tune up? Do they need to be tuned up? Rafe Conager SASS #56958
I have a pair, they are now my main match cartridge pistols. I shoot black powder out of em. love em, they can be tuned with springs and a little smoothing with emery cloth. I sent mine to Ole #4 and they are awesome. Flaco Joe
I use a pair of Uberti conversions as my primary match guns. Thousands of rounds through them with no problems. They are smooth, point naturally, easy to repair, (though I have not needed to yet), fairly easy to tune, and have a shorter hammer stroke than unmodified Colts or Rugers. I also sent mine to Ol#4 for tuning.
Long Johns Wolf
I use a pair of Colt 1860 Army pattern pistols with 5,5" barrel custom converted to .44 Colt for 3 years now as my main match pistols. Shooting mostly nitro cowboy loads. No issues if you don't load +P ammo. Long Johns Wolf
