Even in CA, our state Constitution doesn't limit where you can protect yourself: CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTIONARTICLE 1 DECLARATION OF RIGHTSSECTION 1. All people are by nature free and independent and haveinalienable rights. Among these are enjoying and defending life andliberty, acquiring, possessing, and protecting property, and pursuingand obtaining safety, happiness, and privacy. Doesn't say "defending life....only in the home" or "obtaining safety only in the home." Link to comment
