Shooting the big iron - Colt's 3rd Model Dragoon

The Third Model Dragoon is said to have been Samuel Colt's favorite sixgun. There is a lot to like about this big horse pistol. In this video we'll show you how to load and fire the Dragoon with both round balls and conical bullets. Uberti in Italy manufactures this replica and Taylor's & Co. in Winchester, Virginia imports it into the United States. It is a big piece of iron, but fun to shoot.

Mike, great videos. Haven't shot my Walker yet but I will soon.

Bravo! Excellent! I just added a 3rd model and a Griswold and Gunnison to my collection. The Dragoon came with a 45LC conversion cylinder which makes black poweder shooting SO much easier.

BTW...How do you film the stright on ..."What the Bad Guy Sees" video?

Thanks!

Nice video Mike. I like how you posted a close up of the first 5 shot string w/ a miss. LOL You have the confidence - no need to be perfect w/ a gun that shoots very high. Well done. Not sure if I'd allocate the resources to own one of those hand cannons but it'd be neat to shoot one.
