Charlie MacNeil, SASS #48580 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 So here's the scoop, troops. I'm considering recording my first book, one chapter at a time, and offering the chapters up as free podcasts either on my bookstore blog page or my website to maybe renew interest in my books. However, I know absolutely nothing about setting up a podcast except for what I've read in the last thirty minutes or so on a couple of podcast software review sites and on blogger. com, which tells me that I need to find a hosting site for the audio files once I create them. Since I'm not made of money like the guy on the Progressive insurance commercials, can anybody point me to either a free or reasonably priced hosting site (less than $50/year would be nice) that has a relatively benign learning curve? Thanks in advance, y'all!
Cliff Hanger #3720LR Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Pod Cast? Isn't that one of those things a terrestrial alien or politician crawls out of just be fore they attach us? Sorry, I can't help you with your pod idea. I'm still stuck on dial up and dreaming of DSL some day. But try Leo Laporte's web site. He does pod casts daily and answers questions and posts them to his web site.
Prof. Fuller Bullspit Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Check out http://podiobooks.com/. A couple of authors from there have landed book deals.
