Mudflat Mike, SASS #20904
SOLD This is an almost new, completely stock (except large bead added) IAC 1887 Winchester copy. 20" cyl barrel The metal is perfect, wood has some very minor safe dings. About 10 rounds thru it. It's particular to what kind of ammo it ejects, seems to like STS more than anything else. it doesn't like any of my reloads! $525.00 +$15 shipping or trade for????? http://i996.photobucket.com/albums/af88/mudflatmike/1887-2.jpg http://i996.photobucket.com/albums/af88/mudflatmike/1887-1.jpg

Cat Brules
I AGREE. I've no dog in this fight, but my IAC smoothed out considerably after about a dozen boxes of shells were fired through it. I do not know about paper shells; I feed mine a diet of 12ga WallyWorld Federal ammo ... the least expensive and it has had no problems. I'm not a fan of having the guns worked over to make it easy to push two into them at once. You can do that with the factory action pretty darn quick without changing the original design action; it takes practice. I have seen some YouTube videos on this gun, too. It is a good home defense and close-in squirrel gun, too. The tube holds 5, I believe. I like my IAC '87. It is strong and sturdy with a fit and finish comparable to most other production guns of its class (price-wise). Nice wood. Unexpectedly nice wood-to-metal fit. Careful if you remove the forearm; the wood on mine is a very tight fit against the metal. I can see how you could break the forearm wood trying to get it off. The blue steel finish is also nice.
