I have the habit of "modifying" all of my hats - from beaver to wool - so that none of them look like the originals. This is one of them. The Stetson "Drifter" is part of their series of hats made from American Bison fur. More durable than wool, less expensive than beaver. The "Drifter" comes looking more like an Outback-style hat. I rolled and pencil-curled the brim and put an Oreader crease on it (alot like Kevin Costner's hat in "Open Range," but lower-crowned). I did the exact same thing to the Stetson "Seminole" (also a Bison fur) in my avatar. The "Drifter" has also been "aged" to look like a vintage hat - even though it's only been a year and a half since I bought it new. This hat is a size 7 1/2, but a bit large at that (yeah - I got me a large melon). A tighter hat band would tighten the fit a bit. Asking $71.00 (shipping included - if you can find a cheaper way to ship than UPS @ $26.00, I'd take $45.00 for the hat + shipping).
