Timbercrick Mick
I have been thinking of shooting BP at a couple matches, (try something new). I was thinking of starting using a BP sub , APP probably. My question is I have a Uberti 1866 in 45LC that I currently use for Wild Bunch, would this be a problem to use this for smokeless, (wild bunch) and to shoot BP subs? Colorado Coffinmaker
No problem at all. Just remember to clean the rifle immediately after using any BP sub. Coffinmaker
Slowhand Bob, 24229
I agree, no problem, but remember that bp or subs will rapidly change the receiver color if you do not actually keep it polished. My '66 has, by choice, turned a dark mottled bronze color and I really prefer that look and actually helped it along with bp paste years ago. Colt Walker 45
I have shot APP off and on for a couple of years in mine with no issues. It is in 38 I would suggest you clean the chamber after 3 to 4 stages ands spray the carrier down and wipe it. APP seems to get sticky and will bind it up some times. I normally just spray it with windex and it seems to do ok. Good Luck
