Kid Curry, SASS# 2924 Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 What is this screw called. Does it do anything other than fill the hole? Thanks Winchester Screw
Manatee Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Don't know the name....just look it up under "schematics" on Brownells website. What is DOES though, is keep the finger lever pivot pin from backing out and jamming the action during cycling. Do you need it? Yep.
Colorado Lightning, SASS #50566 Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 This screw keeps the link lever pin from falling out. I have seen them loose enough to do so. If you are disassembling the gun this screw must be removed and the pin is driven out through this hole by using a punch through the small hole on the other side of the receiver. Colorado Lightning
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Trick question. That is not a screw, it is a screw hole. (A threaded plug is supposed to be in there.)
Griff Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 p/n and nomenclature per Winchester along with price: 22 U344910080 FINGER LEVER PIN STOP SCREW $1.50 Manatee & Colorado Lightning are correct as to it's function. Necessary.
