  1. Thank you. I havent polished anything yet... not sure how. I would like to learn.
  2. I just got them. Gave them a good cleaning last which helped some. I do agree they will need different springs. How are they working out?
  3. I picked these up in Clearfield yesterday. The Wranglers came from Grice Gun Shop and the ammo came from WalMart. I plan to use these for practice and possibly a shoot or two with my Henry .22 lever gun.
  4. I had better hurry... I move to seniors in July... tough competition there.
  5. When looking at Wolf springs are the "Vaquero" and "New Vaquero" the same hammer / trigger springs? Is there a preferred place to buy them?
  6. Yea, that's what I did with my 45 colt brass. I knew that I would use them. These others are just an experiment.
  7. I know its not thr same but i have some clips of bullet trace fom my 308 at Clinton Irwin. Pretty cool. Look close. Willie Miss 45 308 bullet trace
  8. Isn't the first outdoor shoot the end of April? I may be ready by then.
  9. Thank you for the replies. I didn't know about the cowboy specials. Maybe they are a better option. The smallest quantity of Schofield I've seen is 500. Maybe the specials will be easier to find. If not I will be thankful for the 45 Colt brass that I have and make the most of them.
  10. I transitioned from Cowboy Fast Draw to SASS in 2019 which meant that I was the proud owner of a new Vaquero 45 Colt. Having never shot a sass match I decided to get a matching revolver and a rifle in the same caliber. I can see the advantages of shooting 38s now but am not willing to change after being this invested. Has anyone used 45 Schofield in a Marlin 1894 or new Vaquero? I'm just wondering if I may be able to run my rifle a little faster and save on some powder to boot. I cast my own bullets and reload so factory ammo cost is not going to be an issue.
  11. I won't make this shoot but intend on burning some powder this season. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
  12. Thank you for posting this. I have a Henry single shot 12 gauge that will need checked into. I don't really shoot it much but really like the way it looks and feels.
