You've got the same thing going on as many of us do. You have so much stored in there that some of it is leaking out.

Footwear in age based categories?
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 replied to Ashley D Austin's topic in SASS Wire
As well as being a fat guy, my knees are getting to be a problem, and I find that a lower heel helps me a lot. Add to that my feet have always been wide. I'd like to get a pair of moccasins to try, but I'm not going to spend $300 on a pair just to try them. The Minnetonka moccasins are reasonably priced, but they don't come in a Wide width. Anybody know of another brand that does in about a $100 price point? Preferably not a short shoe. -
Coffee addiction

Sounds to me like you don't go long enough without to know whether you'd get the headache. -
Coffee addiction
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 replied to Rye Miles #13621's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
Never touch the stuff. I DO drink iced tea a fair amount, (sweetened with Stevia because of my diabetes). Before I retired,I'd go through at LEAST a couple 32 oz. cups of Diet Coke a day while working, interspersed with Powerade depending on the heat, and sweet tea at night. These days I'll have a diet soda once a week at best. No Powerade unless I'm working on a construction project outside, again depending on the heat. Caffeine addiction? Sure. Bad? Not too bad, but if I don't have my tea by mid afternoon I start a headache. But I can't stand coffee. -
What does it Matter?
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 replied to Abilene Slim SASS 81783's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
They'll hide anything that doesn't push THEIR narrative. The person using the tool doesn't matter unless he ALSO pushes their narrative. And as has been shown, even if he doesn't, they will try to make it LOOK like he does. -
When I was in Elementary School, ('60-'66), we brought bag lunches, or since this was before bussing, and our schools were actually in our neighbor, AND since back then most moms were homemakers, we might go home for lunch.

But what leads these people to Hollywierd to play Dress Up and Make Believe, or to try to tell what they want us to know and what to think about it. In most other lines of work, many different types of people do various jobs, but in these two particular vocations, 99% of people who work in it are of a certain political persuasion. I just wonder why they choose these jobs,

Hollywierd and the Lame Stream Media
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 posted a topic in SASS Wire Saloon
We've all observed how these people think over the years. I find it curious that so many of those type people gravitate towards those professions. And I wonder why. I really don't know, since I don't think that way. Anybody else have any ideas? -

The HECK I WILL. I'd sleep in a Walmart parking lot in the back seat of my truck first. -
One year when I was a young Marine, it was coming up on the Marine Corps Ball. At Formation, we were instructed that all male Marines would wear Full Alpha Uniforms or Dress Blues. Women Marines could either wear uniforms OR Formal Gowns. When asked why the WMs could wear gowns, we were told so the we could see that they were far more to look at than the Uniform. I know how THAT would fly today. Last weekend, I attended a Celebration of Life for a friend's son who'd OD'ed. The kid was only 21, and was a Fraternity Member. Many of his Brothers were there, as were many women of the same age group. I'd never seen so many short black dresses and long blond hair in one place in my life.

Some years ago, at my friend Tex's work they were have a Health Day, and everybody was getting a cholesterol test. A guy that worked with him told the person drawing blood that Tex's blood would come out more like gravy than anything else. -
I used to use booking.com when making travel plans for my Ohio trips and always got decent deals, and never a problem when changing reservations. And they were always "Pay upon arrival". That's no help this time but might be of some to somebody down the road.

I had the misfortune of being Stationed in Massatwoshits from '86 to '88. I had but one gun back in those days, and it never saw the light of day the entire time we were there. While there are a FEW decent people there, by in large Pilgrims are some of the rudest, nastiest, and overall unpleasant I've ever had to deal with. I cannot see myself EVER going back there. I met other Marines in other Duty Stations from there, and even THEY said they'd never go back. John Kloehr is right about their driving too. On any freeway type road, they use the Right hand shoulder as a high speed passing lane. That is when they're not reading a NEWSPAPER draped over the steering wheel. I'm truly sorry for anybody who lives there, but it's your choice so I'm not that sorry. I'd hate to be forced to choose between Massatwoshits and Kalifornia as a place of residence.

These people don't hate them, they just consider them props in their life. When's the last time you heard anything about Rihanna? I can't remember when. But now she has instant publicity! Remember a few years back when all those "stars" were adopting children from third world countries? They were just props for publicity too. It was little more than a fashion trend for them. I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut that most of them spend next to no time with these kids, they have nannies for that. I kind of feel sorry for those kids, even though they still have it better than they might otherwise have had it. -
Offensive stickers on cars and trucks
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 replied to Forty Rod SASS 3935's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
I don't think that anyone's saying that he can't say what he wants, but doing so might make him look stupid. Like the old saying: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt" -

I think that the best that we can hope for is that anybody with any sense at all will look at a car absolutely covered with stickers of any kind and figure that the guy is a nut and ignore him. -
Honestly, some will, some won't. The .357 is the same way. I tried most of the tricks for making one run with .38s, but it wasn't until I trimmed my ejector spring that it started working right. Here's a website that tell you how to work on it yourself: https://marauder.homestead.com/files/Rossitune.htm

Did it every time I roadtripped to Ohio. Two days at 12 hours a day, third day 4 hours and I was there. 1800 miles.

Dallas sniper
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770 replied to Tex Jones, SASS 2263's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
Totally agree. I'm always scanning my surroundings, watching for something or someone who looks Not Right. I've even been asked about it. Some people ask what I'm looking for. One lady asked if I was a soldier because I looked like I was constantly looking for the enemy. (I told her no, I'm a Marine). We've all heard Colonel Jeff Cooper's color code, White (unaware/unprepared), Yellow (relaxed but alert), Orange (focused, identifying potential threats), and Red (imminent danger, ready for lethal action), and I try to practice it. As a truck driver, I've kind of adapted it for driving too. White (Just trying to get from point A to B. Not really watching traffic. Probably on the phone too.) Yellow (Paying attention to traffic and road conditions. Looking beyond the bumper of the car in front of you.) Orange (Noticing a potential problem. Slow downs, multiple brake lights ahead, even a "stale" traffic light.) Red (Ready to turn, moving to the curb or turn lane away from a traffic jam. Police or Fire Dept lights ahead, foot covering the brakes.) Like The Colonel's system, most people walk and drive in the White.
