  1. As somebody once said, "It's not what don't you know that gets you in trouble, it's what you know that ain't so."
  2. Well, we didn't know that you are on it, until NOW.
  3. Unfortunately that's no longer the case for many series. The major networks, (ABC, NBC, CBS, and sometimes CW) still do that for their more popular shows, but one that's not so popular, or is a newer show, might only get 12 episodes. Maybe stretched to 18 IF they think it might be going somewhere. But smaller networks seem to usually only have 10 episodes a season. Sometimes they might do 2 "seasons" a year, but that's rarer. Back in the '60s, most series had first run episodes in the mid 30s.
  4. The submachine gun guys are required to fire from the hip, with full magazine bursts, while the Good Guys use their sights and make center mass or head shots, unless the bad guy needs to survive long enough to either reveal vital information to stop the Threat, or just to Troll them.
  5. My friend Mark and I were watching "Magnum Force" in the theater. When David Soul first pulled his Colt Python, I leaned over to Mark and said, "I want one of those!" He just smiled, because he already had a Model 29 from "Dirty Harry", and a Walther P-38 from "The Man from Uncle". Have you been watching Hickok45? He asked the same question about a week ago.
  6. Coming from you, this is not surprising in the least. But I do the same thing. There was a recent thread on fireflies, the first thing I thought was,
  7. I'm hardly claiming to be an English Writing student. But many of the errors listed should not be happening to those of even moderate intelligence or education. And I'm with Blackwater. If you look, you'll find MANY of my posts have been edited, usually because I hit "Submit Reply" too quickly, and THEN see where I screwed something up.
  8. I have the same problem. My fingers are too big for the keys. BUT, since my computer has "Spell Check" I see a problem when it happens and can correct it.
  9. I was going to to just hit the "like" heart, but wanted to agree so much more than that would show. I have the same disdain for the excuses, and the same non-issue with "otto", and for the same reason. (Flame suit on).
  10. I have a really hard time because recipes seem to usually start with, "Take a clean dish..."
  11. Agreed. Misspelled words like that annoy me for more than punctuation. Advice and advise, to, too, and two, whether and weather, etc. I'm hardly a spelling nazi, but sometimes it's just plain bad usage.
  12. I recently picked up an old High Standard Sentinel. 9 shot .22, DA. I just got that wild hair, saw it on Gunbroker and had to have it. It looked like crap in the pictures, but it turned out that somebody had wrapped it in clear packaging tape, and underneath that it was in very good shape for a gun made maybe in the 80s, if not earlier.
  13. I do. Sometimes I'll shoot my .45s, other times .38s. A couple weeks ago I paired a .22 with a .44.
  14. I'm not paranoid. He pulls his gun, I pull mine.
  15. The Helo got them OVER the compound. Then they BEAMED in. The problem with the satellite imagery is that it doesn't read the Transporter Effect. The Heisenberg Compensator blocks it.
  16. Because it was different. Why would most of us want to at least try one? Because it's different.
  17. The sound of the engine is actually the least contributing factor in the noise. Most of it is the blades beating the air into submission. Even if the engine were completely silent, the "Wop Wop Wop" of the blades would give it away. Now if the rest of the compound were having a loud PARTY...
  18. Interesting and well done project. My question has to do with your original idea, a Mare's Leg in .45-70. How does it shoot with .45-70? And how many does it hold?
  19. Hopefully, the new guy will let them know that concentrating on making good, reliable guns that don't have to be returned for repair on brand new guns WILL be making money for the shareholders, maintaining efficiency and striving for market share.
  20. Just this once, take YES for an answer, and move on.
