  1. If they did, they wouldn't be Luddites! From the internet: What is a Luddite today? “Luddite” is now a blanket term used to describe people who dislike new technology, but its origins date back to an early 19th-century labor movement that railed against the ways that mechanized manufactures and their unskilled laborers undermined the skilled craftsmen of the day. I'm becoming more and more Luddite-like as stores and restaurants try to force me to get their app! My phone screen is too small to read that app crap, anyway! Dr. Seuss might say, I don't want your app on my phone, I don't want your app at my home. I don't want your app in my hall, I don't want your app crap at all.
  2. Absolutely! Can you zelle it to me at BR-549?
  3. Yeah, my cousin David, from here in Texas, moved to Georgia. He still has everything you need, including caps and powder for old-time prices. What could go wrong? Please note: This reply is intended to be humorous. My other cousin in Texas still has everything you need. Send me the money, and I'll forward it to him.
  4. And then, I had to find my own ride home!
  5. Too much resistance here. I'm going to meditate. Ohmmmmmmmm.
  6. On my favorite local station, KPFT, they played the audio part of that WKRP episode, and it's still funny, after 44 years! They also play Alice's Restaurant every Thanksgiving. I always sing along. Fun Fact: When KPFT was bombed off the air by the KKK in 1970, they were playing Alice's Restaurant. When they returned to the air, Arlo Guthrie, visiting in Houston, played the song live on the radio. Like his Dad sang, "This Land Is Your Land".
  7. In Germany, on the autobahn, people drive on the right side (same as America), and stay out of the left lane, except to pass or haul ass. If you're in the left lane and a BMW comes up behind you, he'll flash his headlights, signaling you to get the hell out of the way. Do so, and let him haul ass. For fun, try to catch him! You'll never forget it! And, if you're boogying in the fast lane, folks will let YOU pass. German drivers are SO much more polite than us American drivers. Present company excepted, of course. And to exit the autobahn, slow down and look for the AUSFAHRT sign. I kid you not. Happy Motoring!
  8. I don't even know what I would do if I saw that hanging on the back porch!!!
  9. Are they edible? If so, YUM! Get me a bucket of melted butter!
  10. What in the world are these? They look like crabs, but crabs don't usually self-deliver to a barbie, do they? Or are they seeking revenge on crabs already eaten?
  11. I have a bunch of these on 8-track!
  12. My son has a similar view as Boom Operator on a KC-10. Signed, His Proud Dad
  13. No mask could be scarier than her actual face.
  14. It took a second look to see that the names were misspelled from the originals. And I remember the little red tips. Those brands were instantly recognizable back then. Along with Marlboro in the flip-top box.
  15. What are we looking at?
  16. Is this current? That blue norther is blowing all the way down here! It's even snowing in Texas! Two days ago it was it the 90's. Damned cow farts!
  17. That's so much like the American cowboy poets. They tell stories that take you to the place and time of the hero. There's no screen to watch, you have to listen with your ears, or read the pages with your eyes, and picture the action in your mind. Thanks for this, and for all of the other Aussie photos and things that you post.
  18. I LOVE it!!!
  19. Show it your badge! Show it your badge!
  20. Some folks over here play with buffaloes, too, but with different results! I tried to find a reasonable video clip, but they all had too many ads and crap. Or they wanted me to sign in. I don't do that for trash sites like those. Sorry for deviating from humour. Well, here's something funny. Spellcheck underlined humour because it's misspelled! Do y'all get the red underline if you spell it humor?
  21. In Texas, we're looking forward to Autumn weather. We're still in the upper 90's, but next week might get down into the 80's. It's been in the upper 90's since June, if not earlier, plus a drought. Winter will be a welcome change!
  22. I saw a skunk get hit by 2 cars, about 3 seconds apart at 45 mph, where the skunk balled up as the first car went over him without squishing him, he bounced and straightened out, and another car came along, he balled up again, the car went over him, and he straightened out and ran off the road into the woods. I wonder how he did...
  23. My wife just doesn't understand the concept of conservation of energy. I've tried to explain it, but I just get tired.
