  1. Chicago-area Tesla charging stations lined with dead cars in freezing cold: 'A bunch of dead robots out here' (foxbusiness.com)
  2. Maybe they can return and spread his ashes in the "Valley of the Twin Peaks". Just a thought...
  3. "When they asked what he wanted to do for his milestone birthday, he thought of his days as a G.I. and joked that he wanted them to take him somewhere to see 'some behind.' " 'I have never seen him cry, and we saw him cry there. His tears just came rolling down,' his niece Josie Ramirez, 63.
  4. “Interference fit” term is jumping out at me as to what Traditions said. But I could be wrong. This was on an in-line muzzle loader Im not a machinist or good mechanic so the lingo slips from me.
  5. Said the civil engineer…..
  6. I would not concern myself with removing the breech plug. Some of the imports, we found out, have a screw on breech plug/tang that either they punch it to lock it in place, or the threads distort upon tightening, so even with heating the breech will not remove it. We tried this on an old Traditions barrel made in Spain some years back with a badly pitted bore. Thought we were smart and would disassemble it for a deep clean. It would not come off, and I have never had an issue with any breech plug before, even with heat, from mildly hot to cherry hot. The barrel was about to twist and we were using an excess amount of force and body weight. Emailed them and they said do not attempt. It was not meant to be removed and reinstalled, even though it screwed in. As stated, and this was 10 years ago, I forget exactly, but it somehow locks itself somehow, and again I think it was to do with the threads. (We have bolts we use at work that work similarly when torqued, threads give and cannot be removed) I do not load black powder cartridges anymore. Powder for muzzleloader, I like the 3f Powders I have shot- Graf, KIK, Goex, Goex Cartridge I really liked KIK and Graf. Goex is good. I liked the Goex Cartridge in 45-70 and 40-65 a lot. I notice Swiss/Schutzen loads other shot were hotter, more velocity, cleaner burning.
  7. Appears to have fallen face first into a tackle box….
  8. I don't really get into, jazz, or understand it, or know a lick about music theory. But I know talent when I see and hear it.
  9. If he’s like anyone else, he’s in debt and has bills to pay. If he’s like any other lobbyist, there’s obligations and promises to fulfill the public isn’t privy to know, with consequences if he doesn’t. I doubt he flew with Epstein, but who knows. I just watched the elephant hunt video of him and his ol’ lady. Hard to believe they were dumb enough to release that video to the public as it clearly revealed their lack of familiarity with weapons and hunting. They mays as well been a couple of 3rd graders learning to square dance.
  10. I doubt it, they have some momentum so will use this to further discredit the NRA and attempt to bleed it absolutely dry. Replacing the NRA with anything of its scale, size, resources and organization is about impossible. Let’s say the NRA totally evaporated today. People would either choose from a multitude of groups or abstain entirely. There’d be several splintered groups jockeying for position, with weaker influence compared to the NRA’s current collective power.
  11. I can’t wait to read the touching tribute to him in the next American Hunter. Brilliant!
  12. If only we had Lepetomane instead of Lapierre....one can daydream....
  13. He'll get some kind of special award, wait and see. Now, he ain't my cup of tea, but some good did come about under his watch.
  14. He comes across as a stiff, a prick, a legalistic, opportunistic bureaucrat. He may be a nice ordinary guy, but he sure doesn’t exude he can in anyway relate to the “common man.” Kinda like…never mind.
  15. Smacks of tv evangelists….. The problem with many large and small corporate leaders is the co-mingling of lifestyle with business. Retreats, seminars, clothing, apparel, cars, hand-outs, boats, real estate,etc- calling it all legitimate business expenses that really have no legitimate business purpose. Real estate may prove to be an asset, but in terms of generating profit, often times these non essentials are liabilities solely used as a means of expensing out business revenue to prop up lifestyle. Business revenue is used to substitute a person using their own post-tax earned income to buy their (or others) personal goods and luxuries. Plain and simple, doing such is fraud, though many call it “writing off”, when it is in fact fraudulently expensing out personal items to the business ( or non profit). But that’s my view…. Government agencies and bureaucrats are equally guilty. I’m self employed and never have just won’t do this. I figure we’re one administration away from regulatory reform, and though I’m not a big fish anyone would look out for, going back 7 years on an audit, it’s hard to sort out back that far to legitimize something as little as a fast food meal, much less an RV or $60-70k truck. He deserves all the scrutiny coming at him. It comes with the position. If he plays victim and declares a crisis, cry someone else a river….

  17. If you have time these are fascinating videos. The Leonard Woods of the world are a dying breed in this day of automation.
  18. NASCAR went the way of modern archery where they’ve tried to take out of them as much of the human element as possible. Football at all levels has become about self and money. Arch Manning- $2.8 million NIL and he’s a freaking backup making over twice the starters NIL deal. Marvin Harrison jr. $1.8-2 million net worth $5-6 million That kid from Buford Dylan Ravioli or whatever chose Nebraska over Georgia signed NIL deals not even out if high school.
  19. If you buy local you eliminate most all doubt
  20. Guess we can watch Div 2 and 3 and cheer on a real underdog that makes it to pros.
  21. I seldom read reviews. Especially the ad nauseum essay length ones in bullet point format. I look for products with at least several hundred reviews and a 4-5 stars. That’s it. That’s my purchasing protocol. If the product is acceptable, I keep it. If not, I generally send back but sometimes trash, give away or repurpose.
  22. The Transperfect Bowl looked like an interesting matchup. I mean Auburn, still with that indecisive identity after all these years- War Eagle or Tiger- goes to the Trans Bowl. And Maryland, amid tier ACC team vs a mid tier SEC team. Didn’t figure Maryland to trounce them but with Auburn, you never know how they’ll show up.
