Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Based on James Fenimore Cooper's stoty of the same name. Unlike the Last of the Mohicans, this one is a total piece of crap. Graham Greene, a genuine American Indian, and usually a great actor, comes off as lifeless as a cigar store Indian. (poor direction in my estimation, but that seems to be the rule in this movie.) Russel Means, another native American, and Stacy Keach have brief cameos...nothing to write home about. The acting is very poor, the camera work is lacking, the dialog stinks, but my greatest complaint is the actors: they are "wooden", speak with an east coast accent and don't look right in so many other ways. Now, I am a very pale person. I don't tan and was born with red hair. I was once told that I was "as pale as Casper the Ghost." By comparison I am well tanned. They don't look like a native anything unless they are cast as bed sheets. And I have never in my life seen as many skinny "college boy" soda fountain woosies before. Twiggy has most of them beat for body mass and musculature. Just my opinion, but you should take it for accurate because I am so seldom wrong. I'm also very modest.
Tell Sackett SASS 18436 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Is that the ones where the Indians know kung fu?
