Navy Arms 44 Russian with adjustable rear sight?

Bought this from the wire and noticed a previous owner must’ve swapped the latch with a Taurus one.

 

If the sight leaf was tacked in the middle would it qualify as a fixed sight gun?

Maybe I was unclear.  

 

Since it will be tack welded in, It’ll not be dovetailed, nor screw adjustable.

There are specific modifications allowed to convert some adjustable model firearms to fixed sight versions.

If a modification is NOT approved, it is ILLEGAL...subject to a SDQ if used in SASS competition.

Check with import dealers (e.g. VTI) for the correct parts.

Thanks Pale Wolf B,

 

Taylor’s & Cimarron didn’t have it.  I’ll check VTI next.  If they don’t have it,  I’ll look into filling mine in completely and making it look like the one that should’a been there originally.
