High Plains Banker
Does anyone know of someone who can work on the internal mechanism of these derringers? I have one with a good hinge, but the firing pin does not advance to shoot the 2nd round.
Rooster Ron Wayne
If your mechanically inclined they are pretty simple firearms. There is some good videos on YouTube. Rooster

Rooster Ron Wayne
There is a little part in there that looks like a German cross . If it's in wrong . It will only fire one barrel. Just sayin. Rooster

High Plains Banker
Thanks for the input & the video. I’ve also found a pretty good video on YouTube that takes you through the entire disassembly process. Looked like it might be within my skill set. Now all I need to do is set aside some time to give it a try.
Muley Gil SASS # 57795
A friend of mine brought me one that he had partially taken apart. The mainspring was jammed. After quite a bit of cursing and putting it together and taking it apart AGAIN, I finally got it back together. I took it to him and told him if he ever took it apart again, I was going to bring it back and stuff it up his.....................................................gun safe. BTW, the frame is very soft. Try not to bend it. I put his in my vise and had to straighten it out after I got finished.
High Plains Banker
I understand. If I run into trouble with it I’ll be gentle. Also, be assured I won’t send it to you !
