Pistol Annie
Could anyone help a pard out? I need to replace the cocking levers on my Stoeger SxS and have a new pair on hand. Do you have to press the pins out or can you drive them out with a punch? It looks like they are not easily removed. I do know that a small brass punch will just bend and not move the pin at all! Jack Hawkens #45246
X2. I need to replace one of mine too. I’m interested in the answers. Thanks.
Chickamauga Slim
Mine came out with a punch & a hammer. As I recall they are slightly tappered and only move one way. I could be wrong, it was a couple of years ago and when I finally got it all back together I vowed to never do that again.
Sedalia Dave
If it were mine I'd send the gun and cocking levers to a gunsmith. Stoeger parts are hard to come by and the levers will likely need some fitting. In the long run it'll likely save you some money. 1
Howdy Pardner
I am interested in trying to help you get your shotgun running again because I had the same problem I couldn't change the cockers without beating up the shotgun. There is more than one way to skin a cat, is one of my favorite sayings. Have the cockers been altered? Does either barrel fire or does the shotgun not fire at all? With the shotgun in the fired condition, hammers not cocked, pull the forearm and barrels off . Is either firing pin sticking out and if so, how far? should be about .050" or if you don't have a way to measure it, lay a dime on the recoil shield , firing pin should be sticking out about that far. Hope I can help you, if you're not interested, that's fine too.

Pistol Annie
I am just trying to get the pins out to install the new ones that I ordered. Long story but I ground off a bit too much on the old ones trying to make it open wider. Yep, learned a lesson that it is not a good thing to do! It currently functions after I welded and reprofiled the old ones. I would just feel better with new ones!
