One of out notable WWII aces, "Buck" McNair and his wife, Barbara, were my Mother and Father's friends and neighbours. Dad and Buck used to drive to RCAF Rockcliffe together in the morning and return at night, although Dad often had to drive Buck's car on the return trip, due to Buck's eye trouble, if he flew too much during the day. 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
