Russian Winchesters and American Mosins

I read this story years ago:

That was a Russian Army inspector assigned to the Remington factory who was deathly afraid of accidental discharges. He would walk the production line with a pocketful of 7.62x54R cartridges. He would snatch a rifle off of the line, load it and slam the butt on the floor. He broke many a stock, but never had an AD. Some of the workers got sick and tired of having to restock these broken rifles. So, a rifle was taken and had the sear filed down to a hair trigger. When the Russkie came down the line, he was handed this altered rifle. He promptly loaded it and slammed the butt on the floor. The rifle discharged, of course, and the bullet hit an overhead waterline.

He stopped breaking stocks after that. :D
