I had a thought early in the video, and then another one at the end.

 

First - where were the flies? Got all that raw meat and fat and all that sitting out there in the wide open. Where are the bugs? Did they not have flies up in the mountains?

 

Second - don't he trust them kids with knives? Stab a hunk of meat and pick it up to their mouth and bite off of piece?

 

Looked pretty good though.

Might still be too cold for flies.  Or maybe the types of plants and the smoke are keeping the flies away.

 

Re knives for the kids...fewer things to wash.
