I never knew the term before:

Strawberries sprouting! The phenomenon where the “seeds” turn into green shoots all over the surface of a strawberry is called “vivipary.”
May be an image of food

Seems to happen in other tings too.  I've seen it in tomatoes and melons.

“Viviparous” means giving live birth.

”Ovoviviparous” means egglaying but retaining the eggs inside momma until they hatch, giving live birth.  Like rattlesnakes.

Sometimes it’s complicated.

Yeah, those I knew.  I had never thought of applying any term to seeds sprouting within the fruit.
