Goody, SASS #26190
I like the look of the first generation SAA's that have the conical FP. Has anyone ever modified a clone to match?
Colorado Coffinmaker
First comment from a mechanical standpoint, would be "Why." The conical firing pin requires a different hole thru the frame. The smaller firing pins as seen in most replicas require a smaller hole, and in the case of those with hardened bushings, enlarging would be a major PITA. The smaller diameter firing pin also imparts more concentrated impact to the primer anvil. Was never tempted to do it. No mechanical advantage.
