Painted Mohawk SASS 77785 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I like to dabble in different category's now & then.. This happenened at a Xmas shoot, it's only after when looking at a vid that I realised what I did when shooting Frontiersman but also could apply to a duellist. Sequence doesn't matter ..happened with the 2nd pistol last shot. Had a jam , raised my off hand [ left ] to get the hammer back, got it to cock & also fired hitting the target...happened pretty quick. Nothing was said or raised at the time..my question is ...shooting out of category or a warning. What say ye'....
PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Procedural for "shooting out of category". OK to use off hand to cock in a malfunction situation but must remove off hand to fire. Quote Duelist style is defined as shooting a revolver cocked and fired one-handed and unsupported. The revolver, hand, or shooting arm may not be touched by the offhand except when resolving a malfunctioning revolver problem or when transferring the revolver from one hand to the other. SHB pp. 6 & 43 (Duelist rules)
