Trailrider #896
For over a week I've been getting emails purportedly from computer anti-virus outfits (3 of them) telling me that my anti-virus software subscriptions had expired. Problem is, I haven't used any one of the outfits with the same name for years. There is no "unsubscribe" thing to click on. I've contacted a computer consulting outfit and my ISP, and both of them tell me there isn't much they or I can do except keep the messages going to my Junk folder and then clear that out. The problem is the stuff keeps coming in about every three minutes or so, and it also triggers a "beep" that is annoying. Anybody out there got any ideas? I'd really like to be able to send a e-virus back down the line to them, but I don't guess that's possible.
