The Left is well schooled in Lenin's "Advance by Retreat" methods.

The Left brings nothing to the table except the hot air of their demands.
Leftists have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Conservatives have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Leftist demands are met with pushback from Conservatives.
The Left then "retreats" with a "compromise" of getting only half of what they originally wanted.

This is a very long established game plan used by the Communists since the time of Marx and Lenin.
It is quite successful, because the Left chooses What, When and Where to attack, then "retreat" with a 50% compromise.

Traditional American values have instilled in conservatives a desire to avoid confrontation.
Often blindside by Leftist attacks, the first inclination of conservatives is to "compromise" to lessen hostilities.

The Left then plays the complicit liberal media about how the mean, nasty conservatives "forced" them to "compromise."

The Left gains half of something tangible, the Conservative loses something tangible.

Conservatives must man-up and force Leftists to put skin in the game:

Left: "We want your guns."
Right: "We want you to pay off the national debt, build The Wall, deport all illegals and deport all refugees!"

Left: "That is outrageous!  It is inhumane!"

Right: "We offer you a compromise:  you can ban our bump stocks.  In exchange you give us The Wall and deport all illegals.  You can keep your refugees."

Stalemate.

You can tell when this push-back works on Leftists because they panic, get personally vicious and violent.

Until such time as Conservatives man up and go toe-to-toe against this relentless attack, America will slip ever-farther into Socialism then Communism.

The only difference between Communism and Socialism is, the Communist murders his opponents, where the Socialist indoctrinates them.
The end result is the same.
