There is no treatment other than seeking out a different search engine. Why do you get Googlitis? It comes from being inundated by manipulative results when doing online searches or reading news feeds the search engine has deemed pertinent to your profile selections. What causes Googlitis to flare up? When searches or news feeds are obviously opposite in regards to your desired search parameters or selected news feeds. The irritation can be quite aggressive and may even affect others around you. How long does it take Googlitis to go away? Not long if you switch search engines but the affliction may be so ingrained that it takes multiple attempts to maintain a healthy regimen of using other search engines so the mind is trained not to automatically access the search engine that causes the affliction of Googlitis.
