Utah Bob #35998
As I recall from my collecting days, although I mostly dealt with coinage, the National Currency bills were issed by banks rather than the Treasury. They are collectable but I have no idea of their value. edit Here’s some info http://www.antiquemoney.com/national-currency/
Assassin
I stopped by the local coin shop Friday after work and there was a guy there purchasing some old paper currency. The bills were bigger and had more color than today. They were from the teens and earlier. The value is in the condition of the bill. The owner of the coin shop had boxes full of old currency his dad had collected over the years. Unfortunately, his dad was murdered in the shop almost three years ago and they have never found the shooter. David, the son told me his dad had boxes of currency and coins he hasn't found the time to look through. It's a history lesson every time I walk through the door.
