Compromise? There Is No "Compromise," Only Concessions.

Gun control advocates always act like the ones who have planted their feet in consistency are unreasonable — that’s funny, seeing how unreasonable they are. They care little for facts, they care little for consistency in any kind or form of philosophy, and they care even less for other people. They care so little for other people, in-fact, that they would have swat teams raid houses for just owning something that enables defense to be possible. Any and all compromise with these people won’t be a true compromise, there won’t be any middle ground — these people won’t budge an inch back from their position, so why should you? Don’t give them an inch, or they’ll take a mile: this is the danger of compromise.

Many bills have almost come through under the guise of “compromise,” and many that have come through, also came under the guise of “compromise.” In the context of “gun control,” compromise means that gun owners are about to get the short end of the stick — so short, in-fact, that there’s nothing there! Compromise, by definition, means an agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side making concessions. What concession is the gun control advocate making when they propose legislation? Ah, right, they aren’t. The only concession that they make is the promise to not take it further, which is (of course) a concession that is always faux, at best. Compromise doesn’t exist — it’s always more gun control, and that’s all it ever is. Less freedom, and more gun control, doesn’t that sound like a great deal?

Exactly. Because, as that article points out, there IS no compromise. We give up rights, they give up nothing. That is conceding to their wishes, not compromise.
