Henry T Harrison
Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain was wounded leading a charge in the battle for Petersburg in 1864. He was carried from the field believed to be mortality wounded and because of that belief was given a battlefield promotion to General by Grant. The wound was in fact mortal, he died from that wound in 1914, fifty years later.
