browning 1911-22 broke

my anti rattlesnake kit 1911-22 suddenly broke today. I had fired a magazine to practice and went to make sure it was clear and the firing pin and spring fell out. The pin to the side is sticking out and not budging. I assume if I took a punch it might move and I could secure the firing pin again. am I right?

If the firing pin and spring came out you probably lost the firing pin stop. Check Brownells for a replacement.
