Lone Dog, SASS #20401
Both Rugers are precluded because they are hammerless. The Browning/Winchester 1885 Hi-Wall is still made both by Miroku and the Italians.

Shameless Howdy Shameless, Plainsman rifles must abide by the same requirements as long range single shot rifles. "Single Shot and Buffalo Single Shot firearms must be originals or replicas of single shot rifles manufactured during the period from approximately 1860 until 1899. All rifles MUST have exposed hammers. " The Ruger doesn't have an exposed hammer.

Ivory Jack, #8534 LTG
Thanks. Still a cool looking rifle. Agreed, especially with a nice 3 to 6 power scope. Great hunting rifle.
Charlie Harley, #14153
My dad has a #1 in 22-250, a beautiful piece of functional art that started my love affair with single shot rifles. Alas, it's not SASS legal.
