Abilene Slim SASS 81783
I use this. Plugs into your USB slot and reads the card from your camera. I got mine at one of the big box electronic stores. IOGear card reader

Mad Dog Jack, SASS #77862
Who made the card reader? Go to their web site and look around for the driver(or have your daughter's friend do it) and install it. Likely the camera came with a cord to connect the PC, if you do that connect the camera to the PC while off, turn on the camera and it should open the picture file and give you the option to download. Just make sure the batteries in the camera are charged as I've heard if the camera dies while the card is open it can harm the card.
