Tom Foolery U.S.M. #2348
While I was putting some books away, a piece of fabric fell out of the cabinet I'd forgot about. Written on it is FABRIC ELEVATOR GERMAN F.W. 190 SHOT DOWN BY BTRY C 473 AAA AT 8:00AM JAN 1 1945. My FIL (RIP) was the sgt. in command of the halftrack responsible for that victory 67 years ago tomorrow. TF

Tom Foolery U.S.M. #2348
I tried to do some more research on this. I got kinda excited when I typed in the date and FW-190 and found a German report on a FW pilot being downed on this date, but it turned out to be 100 miles (+-) away from where my FIL was.
