If y'all wouldn't mind.......

Hi EE,

My recent doctor has always deferred to a specialist in matters like this (hand, broken arm, rotator cuff, and knee injuries anyway). As a result I'm well acquainted with my ortho doc. I am suspicious of a doctor who does not refer someone with severe back pain to a specialist.

I had a doc once who said "oh, it's just arthritis." WRONG!!!

Back issues can be debilitating. I think you have insurance and should push for a specialist.

I kinda thought the same. In this situation I had to see my family doc and have him refer me to a specialist. In this case he didn't seem to think it was needed......... <_< A third opinion might be in order! The docs are kinda like everything else around here.....half a$$!

On a bitter sweet note, I moved kinda funny today getting up from a seated position and had a pop in my back that seems to have gotten it back in place. The pain has all but gone completely away. Just a dull ache now.......A long way from over, but now I feel a bit better to talk to the docs and get things straight.

We will see what the next doc visit brings.....

Thank you all for the prayers.

Keep me in the back of your minds.

Chronic back/neck pain is, well, a pain! I have pets in both areas that never goes away. I got X-rays that show both injuries and when one nurse saw them she freaked out and tried to get nack brace on me saying my neck is broke. I said; "Darlin, if it is it's been that way fer years, I'm here for my shoulder."

Anyhow, hope things go better for ya. I never learned to take care of my injuries, that's why I'm sittin' here on the computer today instead of wiring or welding somewhere.
