Bucharest Jack , S.A.S.S. #60581 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Hello, I recently got an older Winchester 9422 and part of the rear sight is missing. There is a small metal "V" there, and it looks as though it used to be a mount for the proper sight, but it's not there. Does anyone happen to know anyone that might sell a replacement? Any help is greatly appreciated, gents. Respectfully, B.J.
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I suppose you mean the rear sight blade is missing from the sight, which would be part 31 in the parts drawing found at Numrich Gun Parts? http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Products.aspx?catid=7531 Unfortunately, Numrich shows that part out of stock. Bob's Gun Parts shows nothing. But, Chas Jones Gun Parts shows a rear sight blade (their number 60 in their schematic) in stock for $8.50. http://www.chasjonesgunparts.com/catalog/item/879584/4550604.htm And you probably will need the two "binding screws" which are Jones' part number 59 on their drawing, also in stock. If all that falls thru, you might consider just replacing the whole rear sight with a new Marbles rear leaf sight that fits the gun. Midway, Brownells, some other vendors will carry that. Good luck, GJ
Cpt Dan Blodgett, SASS #75655 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 You might be able to make one from a hacksaw blade as well.
