  1. New York City did that to me back in 1978.
  2. Really heavy hearing aids.
  3. My Henry is .44-40 cal, has a Cowboys & Indians 3rd gen short stroke kit and I use Coffinmaker’s stick. Annealing cases will seal the chamber like .44-40, but I’d rather watch paint dry than spend time on that. To each his own. Having said that, it’s a great solution if your rifles are already .45 and you don’t want to switch to a bottleneck cartridge.
  4. You’d be right on the first part of your statement, and you’d be wrong on the second part.
  5. Unless your demise is imminent, I’d worry about this later when it becomes a problem. Enjoy your time with him now. A solution may present itself when you least expect it. Besides, you might live longer than you think. 😊
  6. I was in 5th grade, but home sick that day. It was on every TV channel with few commercials. Hard to believe 62 years have gone by.
  7. Both my boys are productive members of society and have never needed a dime from me or the government after leaving home. They have great high-tech jobs that I don’t fully understand. Both are happily married to awesome women and I’m blessed with two wonderful grandchildren. It’s fun notice from time to time that some of their old man has rubbed off on them. My oldest doesn’t have the facial features of my dad, but he’s built like him and moves the same way. Funny how DNA works. I am extremely proud of them. 😊
  8. I say I’ll go live in a van down by the river.
  9. Ok, thanks. Couldn’t get past the Japanese pronunciation. Nee Sahn… I give the joke a “boooo….” 😊
  10. Tried that, thank, still not making a connection. I’m too thick-headed.
  11. Two bits is an anachronism. I wouldn’t expect anyone under the age of 60 to know what that means.
  12. Please see the pedantic thread…😁
  13. I deleted it 10 minutes after I wrote it. Not worth reconstructing.
  14. EDIT: I wrote a grumpy rant about YouTube and its copy and paste documentaries, then thought better of it. Please accept my apologies.
  15. I used to like the content, but those days are getting further and further away.
  16. I remember when that aired. When was that, 1978? As God is my witness, that still makes me laugh out loud every time I see it.😊
  17. Kewl!! Too spendy for me, but it’s less than I would have expected. Revology Mustangs are $350k and up and I’d much rather have one of these for an expensive toy.
  18. This^^^^ Thank you!
  19. If “Lethal Weapon” qualifies as a Christmas movie, so does “LA Confidential”. (An excellent film, BTW). 😊 I like Johnny Depp as an actor. He was excellent as John Dillinger in “Public Enemies”.
  20. Excellent choice. My wife can’t stand it though, and she only tolerates George C Scott, but at least she’ll watch it with me. 🙁
  21. Even though the stories have happy endings, I’ve never been fond of movies & shows where deceit between characters is a central element. “White Christmas” and “Christmas in Connecticut” are two such movies I won’t watch again. On the other hand, my Christmas favorites are, in no particular order: * Miracle on 34th Street (Maureen O’Hara) * A Christmas Carol (G. C. Scott) * Nat’l Lampoon Christmas Vacation * Home Alone (the first one, not the sequels) * The Santa Clause (the first one, not the sequels) * A Christmas Story (the first one, not the sequel) I know I’m supposed to like “It’s a Wonderful Life”, but so much of the movie is a downer I have a hard time sitting through to the end. (And I’ve even known Karolyn Grimes (Zu Zu) personally.) Other favorites are a variety of MGM and Warner Bros. cartoons from the 40’s & early 50’s.
  22. Did he get residuals? He was a big enough star by then to have commanded that.
