Shadow was one of the first Cowboy Action Shooters I met when watching my first ever cowboy match. Instantly he was telling me all about the sport and how much fun it was. Of course he was right! An amazing shooter in his own right, but one arm never slowed him down when hanging steel and setting up props. His personality was magnetic. Shadow was kind to everyone and it showed. To say he will be missed is an understatement. I know he is already planning a match when will met again. Ride safely my friend. Prayer to Beth, his family and many friends. Chuckaroo

15 I forgot New Mexico

As I remember, different clubs ran the stage the created. It was a bit of an issue as some had different safety rules. One stage it was a minor safety if you levered the rifle before it was on the shoulder, others it was not.

It was in Titusville and Poppy (not the full name) ran the match with his better half. It off the West side of 95 and I think it was around exit 50. why I remember that I have no idea. It was fun though but in all my 26 years of SASS, the Last Stand was my favorite. I really miss it and the great folks in Florida that we met each year. Shot the Florida State match 17 years straight. Best place on earth to be in January!! Chuckaroo

This is my first post on the wire since my wife passed away, I could not stay silent. If you ever met Allie Mo, I guarantee you walked away laughing and feeling loved. May her family and friends feel the hand of all her SASS friends on their shoulder in kindness and support during this time. I am certain that another angel has received her wings. To her husband, I know what you are going through. She has left a great legacy and your family and friends will help you through this.

I cannot express enough thanks for so many kind words of sympathy for Barb. My heart is broken and I know it is going to take some time to heal as best I can. I wish I could respond back to each of you but we were fortunate to be surrounded by so many caring people. I have literally over 300 hundred emails, phone calls and Facebook condolences. Please forgive me if I do not respond. It is difficult to write and concentrate. Barb never discussed death. She just turned off that subject as soon as it came up. She did not like to have her picture taken, she did not want birthday parties and never wanted to be the center of attention but her character, kindness and love of others shined through always. So, my sons and daughter in law decided to do what she would have wanted. We know she would not want anyone to suffer through a traditional funeral service. But we knew she deserved to be celebrated for the wonderful person she was. We will have a "Celebration of Life" at the Izaak Walton League on October 2nd from 1:00PM to 4:00PM. We ask that you respond by September 28th if possible. Her obituary will appear in the Frederick Post but I have included it below. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Barbara Anne (Crouse) Crooks, 72, of Ijamsville, died at her home, Monday, September 20, 2021. She was married to her beloved husband, Charles E. Crooks for 53 years. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are their two sons, Scott Crooks, Matt Crooks and his wife Karen, her brother Rick Crouse and his wife Nancy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased in death by her father, Walter C. Crouse, and her mother M. Evelyn Crouse. Barb loved her angels. She enjoyed going out to dinner with her family and friends. Her rescue pets always put a smile on her face. I know of no one that can laser (etch) a complete handgun. To many curves and areas not reachable correctly with the regular fiber type engraver. Your request for something fast is also not doable. If you are willing to settle for a laser engraved pistol, purchase one that is already done by the manufacturer. They have specialized machines designed to etch metal with curves. They will cost much less than having it done for you as a one of, even if you found someone to do the work. These machines are not cheap and are not table top deals purchased by a hobbyist. A laser etched/engraved firearm will wear pretty well but certainly not as long as a hand engraved firearm. Constant contact areas like the backstrap will wear eventually. Buy a pre-done gun. It meets all of your requirements and will cost you less than having yours done if you actually find someone to do it.

They have the right people making these tough decisions. I do imagine that their bar tab has understandably increased!

Dang'it, I was really looking forward to a Scarlett hug.

Well, the dumpster is full and that was only my shed. I did not get to the basement or garage. I whooped. Going back to reloading for the next 10 years!!

Reloaded a bunch in the first week. I just ordered a roll off dumpster. I'm gonna clean out the shed, my attic, the basement and my garage. It will take at least two weeks.

It is a good idea, especially if the reshoot is questionable. Rather than slow the posse down, it enables them to keep going and the back up score is there if you need it. Not used often but it is better than having to go back and reshoot it after the fact. And sometimes that is not possible at shoots the need to reset targets for the next day.

I have reused brass to the point that it splits. If it is split or beginning to have an ugly case mouth is goes. But i have brass that I am certain that it has been reloaded many times. First place i would check is the resizing die. Make sure it resizes the entire case. If it does not pass a checker, the problem is most likely not the gun, it is the reloading.

Very slow for me as well.

Having made the shooters badges, your numbers are close. Not 800 main match shooters though. Numbers may include those that had to drop out but I'm sure that is a small number.

Because large numbers of competitors mandates 4 a day so they can accommodate more people. EOT and Winter Range do it for the same reason.
