No turkey for Thanksgiving?
Rye Miles #13621 replied to Rye Miles #13621's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
In my Italian family it’s SAUCE! Gravy is the brown stuff you put on meat loaf etc. Calling sauce gravy is mostly a NY NJ thing! 😜 -

Instagram and facebook are okay. Maybe they’re not afflicted with Cloudfare? -

I noticed some trouble earlier with X (twitter) it’s okay now -
I’m going to my son’s house for Thanksgiving. There’s only 4 of us and we’re having spaghetti, meatballs and sausage. It’s about getting together not necessarily the food! My Ex is making the dinner and she makes great sauce! Anyone else having something else than turkey?

My favorite Marlin 94 has a bulge in the barrel

If it’s not affecting the accuracy, especially for the targets we shoot at, then leave it alone and keep shooting it or get it rebarreled if it bothers you. -
Episode 2 was great too! I guess it’s on every night. I believe there’s 8 episodes.🇺🇸

My IMac cost about $1000.00 13 years ago. It’s still cooking along. -
Just happened to me today, my customer, a lady, broke her wrist I automatically extended my right hand to shake hands with her, she extended her left hand, I put my right hand in her left while she held up bandaged right arm to show me the injury. I would do the same if it was my right hand that was injured.

Ever since Covid “fist bumping” has become more prevalent. Some people don’t want to shake hands!

Great pictures! I have some but they don’t look anywhere near as nice as these!

It took them 7 years to put this together. Most interesting time in American history I think!

I watched episode one last night. I’m not a big fan of PBS but this is pretty good. Ken Burns does a pretty good job on this. https://www.pbs.org/kenburns/the-american-revolution/about-the-film

There’s not much to relearn if you went to Apple for a computer. Trust me, I’m not very tech savvy and it was a piece of cake. I find Apple products to be MUCH easier to use. -

I have nothing but Mac/Apple products. iMac. iPad,IPhone. It’s great. I had a PC early on and had nothing but problems. My sons talked me into Mac/Apple products and I swear by them now. -
I try and keep up with things so the answer would be no not all the time!

One upon a time in the west
Rye Miles #13621 replied to Rye Miles #13621's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
The Good the bad and the ugly, For a few dollars more, Fistfull of dollars were some of my favorites by him. I just don’t like Once upon a time in the west at all. Sergio has also made some other good non westerns movies. IMHO -
Very nice work, I don’t have the patience or knowledge to do that!

I know a lot of people like this movie but I trudged through it last night. Almost 3 hours, fell asleep in the middle for about a half hour. I've seen it before a long time ago. My personal review is it kinda sucks. Slow moving, too many really up close facial scenes. Music was terrible. The acting was way over the top and I like Charles Bronson and Henry Fonda but not in this movie! The only thing good in my estimation was Claudia Cardinale and she wasn't even that great in her acting. Thoughts on this movie?

I would call Ruger, their customer service is pretty good.

I pay my credit cards off monthly, I have no house payment or car payment. I’m a co-signer for my son's house and he pays a couple hundred more than the payment every month. My credit score is like 850.

I went to a gunshow today. It’s a big one, 3 buildings at the Cuyahoga County fairgrounds. My observation is powder and primers are still high, primers down some. $50-$70 for 1000. Lots of AR type rifles, lots of semi autos. Good showing of revolvers and I’ve never seen more cap and ball revolvers at a gun show than I saw today. Ammo is high except for 9mm. $12-13 a box of 50. All I bought was a few boxes of ammo. I had nothing to do so it was worth the ride!
