This was a WB match but I believe the rules are mostly the same now.

There were 4 targets and 7 shots. 1 on P1, 2 on P2, 1 on P3, 2 on P2 and 1 on P4. The shooter shot 1 on P1. He then shot 1 on P2, then missed a shot, then put another one on P2. Then 1 on P3, 2 on P2 and was out of ammo for that last round on P4.

Does that 3rd shot that missed count as the 2nd engagement on P2 and when he put the 4th shot on P2 instead of P3 does he get a P? Or is this one of those scenarios where a miss doesn't cause a P?

For a second unrelated question: say there is a table for shooting pistols and then you have to move to another table to shoot long guns. Are you required to start with both feet behind the table, or just 1 foot behind or just be within arms reach or something else entirely? I don't think the stage instructions specified.

That would be a MISS (missed target)

+ a PROCEDURAL for engaging P2 three times

Either stage directions or Match/Range Conventions should specify where/how to stand...if they don't, ask the PM during walk-thru.
