Same here, my wife and daughter, if she is with us, know where they are to sit so I am facing the door. If there is any question on my choice because of the way the table is arranged they will ask where I plan on sitting before they sit.

Sadly, because of large increase in the cost of dining out in our area, we often determine which meal we can split.  Which one of us actually orders doesn't really matter.
