Chantry
I've read of a Fairey Swordfish hitting a barrage balloon cable, forcing a 180 degree turn and the pilot landing the damaged aircraft at a nearby airfield. During the second Chindit expedition in Burma during 1944, a flight of P-51's was tasked with taking down a telegraph pole. They dropped their bombs, each plane flying lower and dropping their bombs with no success. The flight lead flew in just above ground level, dipped his wing and then flew off with the telegraph wire still on his wingtip.
